Welcome to Tanya’s Art Studios.

Who is Tanya Raabe Webber the Artist?

Let me introduce myself. I’m Tanya, an acclaimed Disabled Artist, a painter of people, environments and cats. I am Tanya’s Art Studios!

Before the global pandemic you would often see me creating live portrait events in high profile venues and spaces such as the Apple flagship store in London and National Portrait Gallery. Since the beginning of the pandemic I’ve been developing this creative online environment as a hub for all of my collaborative work. I now create artworks in open live environments usually in nearby rural locations and in my home studio. My arts practice is a fusion of traditional and digital media focusing on identity, self and sense of place, creating evocative contemporary artworks. I have an inclusive collaborative approach to the way I make my work. This often enables others to explore their creative potential whilst working alongside me.

I am a facilitator and mentor to other creatives and a specialist in supporting learning disabled artists.

My other work also sees me as a trustee, board member and ambassador of other arts organisations. These include DASH, Venture Arts, The Art House, an Ambassador of Outside In, an Associate Artist of Figment Arts and Project Ability, and a member of the NDACA acquisitions committee. I’m also an active member of the Arts Council England Midlands Area Council and their Disability Advisory Group.

What does Tanya’s Art Studios do and how can you get involved?

Firstly let me welcome you to Tanya’s Art Studios.

I have created this website in response to the global pandemic and disabled artists’ need to want to come together in a virtual space to be mutually creatively inspired and supported.

It is my hope that Tanya’s Art Studios will grow over time to create a global community, a unique network of creatives who connect with each other to make work, share skills and collaborate in this space. Our potential is infinite!

This is an online space where I will also create and share my practice with you. This will include Tanya’s Tips and Tricks, studio demos, mentoring, creative courses and much more. So look out for these gems! If you are interested in knowing more here’s where you can sign up for my newsletter.

I will continue to support artists and creatives to develop their individual creative potential whilst sharing my own art making alongside you. I will be showcasing artworks made by you and me in Tanya’s Art Studios virtual exhibitions.

Tanya’s Art Studios also hosts an online shop promoting Affordable Artworks at affordable prices. Original artworks, paintings, and montages by me. There will also be digital prints and postcards by ArtStudio0nLine Artists Collaborative coming soon.

Tanya’s Art Studios aims to deliver a series of online courses on Online Creatives and Live Studios hosted on zoom directly from my home studio. These will be aimed at individual artists, creatives and supported studios in the UK and internationally. These will be thematic in nature, inclusive and accessible, sharing creative skills, knowledge and contemporary practice whilst promoting positive mental health and well-being. As an Artist or creative you will also have the opportunity to sign up for 1-2-1 mentoring, focusing on professional art practice and development. Training courses in supportive studio practice will also be available to book in the future along with a series of live studio, plein-air-wheelwalk residencies and events.

Virtual exhibitions and online publications will be hosted to showcase artworks you have produced here during your stay with Tanyas Art Studios! You will be able to embed these virtual exhibitions and online publications in to your own websites and on your social media to share with your own communities and networks.

Please do check out the What’s On page to see what interests you. Information on how to book and what it costs will be coming soon too. Don’t forget to see What’s On special offers and free to join events!
